Robert Is Here Fruit Stand & Farm is a well-known spot in Homestead, Flordia, that features more fruits than I've ever seen in my life.
Kaitee and I found ourselves in this area while traveling from one Florida national park to another. And with those hot Florida days, a cold fruit smoothie sounded like perfection.
"Robert Is Here is a family-owned and operated fruit stand in Homestead, Florida. We specialize in Rare & Exotic fruits and vegetables, mostly grown right here on our farms," the website reads.
"Although the location started off as a literal Fruit Stand located on the side of the road, it has grown into a complete tourist destination equipped with an Animal Farm, Play Area and picnic tables. We even have live music on the weekends and holidays!"
The fruit stand offers both milkshakes and smoothies. Both are made just with fruit and milk (milkshake) or ice (smoothies).
"We spend hours every morning hand-cutting all of the fruits that go into our delicious milkshakes and smoothies. When you order, we add your fruit to a blender cup and throw in some milk or ice, then blend it until it is nice and creamy. Notice how all that went into it was fruit and milk/ice? That's because nothing else goes in; we proudly produce our milkshakes and smoothies free from artificial colors, flavors and preservatives," reads the website.
The list of fruits availble is extensive, and up to three can be mixed together. Some are only available seasonally, but there are still many, many to choose from.

My simple mango-strawberry-pineapple drink was quick, and considering the line, I didn't want to go back and forth about what was in season and what wasn't. I wanted to keep it simple. Simply delicious.
